How To Put a Large Flag Pole Up

1st read instructions.
Yep he actually did.
Believe me it is rare he does.
Typical man!

Read about the solar light.
It works awesome.

The flags look great in the dark.
That light is a great buy.

Dig large hole with post hole digger.
We have one for our tractor.

I believe it had to be 24" deep or deeper yet.
My mine slips me...lately a lot more.

Stomp around the hole, after you put the concrete in. Or maybe he was doing a Indian Rain Dance?

Always smile while you work.
He always does!

He is so DANG cute..for being 55 an
after 33 yrs of Marriage to me.
Honey you do need a hair cut though! LOL

Look proud at what you just did! LOL

Add the American flag.
Then the Wisconsin State Flag

Show them both off.

Raise flag and admire your work.

A fine job if I don't say so myself!

Have a good one!

Cheers

Comical Carnival

I guess growing up and having kids and constantly watching them for fear of the unknown. I never paid much attention to the beautiful carnival features at the midway. This year for giggles we decided to take a walk down the midway with our adult kids. And what a fun adventure to take. I looked at it with completely different eyes. The artistry and colors and comical findings were entertainment in it self . I took more pictures there I think then any where else this year. I loved the detail to each ride the artist took to make it stand out. I will be sharing more but this one was so magical and lovely.

I love the detailed features of these!
Look at the bubbles coming out of the bottle!

Seriously so funny!
Love the effect of bubble wrap as bubbles.
Great idea!

a couple little guys were standing in front of this and were saying how pretty she was,
and was she going to throw the scarf down at them
So cute!!!
I love the innocence of little itty bitty kids

Seriously had to take a double take at the guy on the roof.
I know I am getting old when I actually though OMG what is he doing up there?
Dah...did I just say that out loud?

Hope your week is going along wonderfully!
Cheers,
Shel

Second Fair Purchase Made In The USA

We love these flags!
And the company that sells them.
They are made in the good ole
USA.

We Love Happy Sales people
when the weather is hot and they
can still smile!

This was Toby from California
He was so happy to have his picture taken.
LOL
He an our youngest son who lived in Caif for years just
chatted away about good Ole Callie.
Really Cute to see  older people

converse with the
youth, they were kindred spirits I think.
I bet Toby once had long hair down his
back like my son.
LOL

Don't recall her name, but
She wanted to demo the poles for us.
However we bought one last year. We just listened anyway.
Can you say the sales people were bored?

This is the company
www.uncommonflagpoles.com
I believe they are out of Texas?
Not Positive, however I know the poles are made in the U.S.
That is the reason we bought it. So Worth the quality, an knowing someone from here made it was a bonus.
We are pleased as punch we did. We have looked ALL over for a pole to withstand our winds and this one has not disappointed us!

This was our purchase this year.
Not the colored lights,
we bought plain white lites for our pole.

During the holidays it is a huge Christmas tree, you can see it for miles.

1st time they carried these buntings, they sold out by the 2nd day.
We did not buy this.

This is the pole in our yard.
It has withstood huge winds and bends to no end on those super windy days, an do we get the winds.
In a future post I will share with you how we installed it.
Love this picture

Cheers,
Shel

Our Farm Sign From The Fair

I had an agenda this year of what I wanted to buy at the fair an this was one of the items I have been stalking.
It only took me 3 years to decide what I wanted.
Can you say procrastinate?
They are expensive an I wanted to make sure I had additional monies to buy it!
So this was the year.

The sweetness of a gal sitting there was just a peach and so helpful.
Asked her if she had a boyfriend.
Yep she did.
I do that quite often to girls I wish my boys would meet.
Call it a mom thing!
It  was as if she was in my head.
She knew my vision and the colors and size I was looking for.
There was so many signs and I wanted so many.
That Kasper one is HUGE and I want it for the inside of the barn when we are done.
Another 3 years?
We chose this one. We have our Christmas trees and soooo many deer in our field it was perfect.
Remember my rod iron panel on our front porch?
If you haven't seen it go back on my blog an I wrote all about it.
Can you say matchy matchy or what?
It as if it was made for us!
We put it on the pump house.
The reason it took me so long to decide was because my parents last name had hung  there for over 40 years.
We took it down and I hung it in my office. I will share that with you someday.
It was VERY emotional for me to take it down.
So I went to bed and D (hubby) put it up.
I looked at it the next morning and felt fine about it.
Can't and won't explain those feelings coming from a 50 something, hormonal, overly emotional,  menopausal women.
If I have to explain it would take to long! LOL

Hope your weekend was a great one..
Cheers to a good week coming up!

More Minnesota Antiquing

We started our antiquing in St. Paul these stores were right down from AX-MAN. They were clustered together which made it easy to go from one to another. Some were expensive and others just great prices. It was fun!

Bought a purse in here. It has many many booths but were a tad high for me.

This building had 3 different shops in it...different owners each with their own personality!

Bought a awesome school flag in here..
I will be sharing it with you all soon.

Found fun things in here the guy was sooooo NICE

Love the tin ceiling in this place...

Loved what was written on here. So want to say something like this on my Etsy store.
Can't say enough thank you's to people.

This is one of the owners bikes.

Hope you had a great weekend!
We had a cool period so we sucked up some of the sweet cool breezes.
We are on the way to our State Fair tomorrow Deep Fried Goodies Here We Come!!
Woo Woo

***Ax-Man Surplus Store St. Paul ***

Such a fun store to spend a lot of time in.
Crazy things inside, hubby loved this store.
A guy store for sure.

WOW is what we both said when we walked in!
Great junk

I wanted a few of these and guess what? Yep I forgot them!
DANG!!!!

This is what greets you when you walk in...strange awesomeness!

Packed packed and more packed aisles full of  everything you can think of, or not.

What can I say?
~Nothing~
Words Escape Me

All the aisles were crammed with goodies of all sorts of things.
Hubs was overwhelmed...Me? NOT!!!
I am so ADHD I felt right in my element.
I took it all in and went back after I pursued the whole store and grabbed my goodies!

Hello

????? the heck

I want this sweet thing in my barn

She was a tad scary looking!
Okay things in the store were tons of packaging things for my Etsy items. Really reasonable. I bought a mannequin head...yes a head so I can display my vintage hats on it.
Putzy stuff u know none of us need. We spend quite some time in it.
